Astrology of The Taurus New Moon May 15th 2018. Radical Creation.

At 5.47 am MST (timeanddate.com for local times) on May 15th we have a New Moon at 24˚ 36′ Taurus. Taurus is the sign of physical creation, the natural world, values and the body. It’s in Taurus that we embody that which has come before. 24˚ is a 6 in numerology, the number of intellectual creativity, imagination, union and love. The 6 connects above and below. “The number 6 is the ‘Mother’ number and is essentially a working, building number. It symbolizes responsibility and service which needs to be achieved through love, nurturing and protection. There is an innate desire within the 6 individual to bring harmony, peace, justice and truth to all experiences in life. 6 thrives on beauty and needs to be comfortable in all areas of their lives — emotionally, spiritually and physically. ~http://numerology-thenumbersandtheirmeanings.blogspot.com/2011/05/number-6.html” Relating to Venus and Uranus, The Lovers Tarot Card and Friday, this number is deeply ‘feminine’, as is the sign Taurus, the most earthly of earth signs. Within hours of the New Moon Uranus moves into Taurus for the first time in 84 years. Most of us have never experienced this. Uranus moved into Taurus on June 7, 1934 until October 9, 1934, retrograded into Aries as he will this time and then moved back into Taurus from March 28, 1935 until August 7, 1941. When an outer planet changes signs there is always a big shift in energies. In the 30’s we saw the rise of Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Mussolini and the Dust Bowl. We also had the US Congress accept The New Deal. Of course, other factors were also in play and...
An Imperfect Greenie: Lilith For Earth Day!

An Imperfect Greenie: Lilith For Earth Day!

I’m a greenie at heart. I recycle. I use green cleaning products. I try to plant native plants that don’t use too much water here in the High Desert. I would like to install solar panels. I am planning on buying a water butt and collecting rain water. We paid money to well insulate our home. I buy mostly organic. I try to be kind to the earth. And I am a humanitarian, a supporter of equality and a healer. But I am not perfect. I could do more. My one extra act so far for this Earth Day is to order some free seeds to plant wildflowers that bees love. I would post the link so you could also order but unfortunately the promotion has ended. But there are several suggestions on this page of the Earth Day site. Or you could donate or sign up as a volunteer activist. I am considering it. But this post is not about beating myself up for not doing enough. This post is about how the astrology is pulling us to do more. And about the Dalai Lama. And his, now famous, quote. “The World Will Be Saved By the Western Woman” And the slogan for Earth Day 2015 “It’s Our Turn To Lead” And why the astrology points to this call. It’s Our Turn To Lead. Firstly, I do understand that what the Dalai Lama meant by ‘western woman’ has not been quantified. And this in itself is the subject of some debate! But I just don’t want to go down that rabbit hole today. Let’s just say, for the sake...
Taurus: Time to Ground And Know Your Core Values

Taurus: Time to Ground And Know Your Core Values

Taurus I know it well. My Mum has a Taurus sun along with Mercury and Uranus in Taurus. It’s who comes to mind every time I think of Taurus energy. She loves to cook. She loves to entertain. She loves to indulge. She loves comfort. And she’s steady. And stubborn. She won’t be pushed. She’s deliberate and loyal. Taurus rules the throat, neck and thyroid and she had her thyroid gland removed at a fairly young age. Taurus is sensual and my Mum likes to feel good. Taurus loves a happy, harmonious and stable home. And that, for the most part, is the energy I grew up in. Taurus is fixed and boy does she have some set ideas. Taurus is earth. My Mum wears earth tones almost all the time. It’s the most earthy of all the signs and is the sign most connected with nature and the body and all things manifest, including money. Taurus is ruled by Venus and, therefore, likes to be surrounded by things that are pleasing and soothing to the senses. Taurus is the most material of all the signs but it’s more about reward for persistence and their steady drive towards their goals. We are very different. But there she is on the cusp of my fourth house. The house of the childhood home. The house ruled by Cancer and the moon, the great mother. And the house of family history and traditions. The house of our roots. And the house of the home that we create. I am deeply connected to my maternal ancestors. I never felt that way about my paternal...
Music Of The Spheres: What Astrology Means For Me

Music Of The Spheres: What Astrology Means For Me

“The heavenly motions…are nothing but a continuous song for several voices, perceived not by the ear but by the intellect, a figured music which sets landmarks in the immeasurable flow of time” ~ Kepler When I work with my BE In Tune With The Moon Circle I often speak of the Sabian Symbols when I speak of the Astrology of the New and Full Moons. The Sabian Symbols were channelled by clairvoyant, Elsie Wheeler, to Astrologer, Marc Edmund Jones, in 1925 in Balboa Park, San Diego. Jones created a pack of 360 blank cards for each degree of the zodiac and Wheeler channelled a symbol for each degree. The cards were marked with a very small symbol for each degree and chosen at random. Astrologers Dane Rudhyar, in his book An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and It’s 360 Symbolic Phases, and, more recently, Lynda Hill in her book, The Sabian Symbols, An Oracle, amongst others. But I am very grateful that these two books came into my world and these are the two I reference when looking at the symbols. And today I discuss only one symbol. The symbol for todays New Moon at 28˚ 25′ Aries. To find the symbol for the degree we always go to the next degree. Therefore, we look at the symbol for 29˚ Aries for this New Moon. And that symbol is “Music Of The Spheres”  And this is what Astrology is for me. The meaning is layered. But Lynda Hill suggests that ‘The Spheres’ in this symbol refer to the planets in our solar system. And then she speaks of Pythagorus and...
