At 5.47 am MST ( for local times) on May 15th we have a New Moon at 24˚ 36′ Taurus.

Taurus is the sign of physical creation, the natural world, values and the body.

It’s in Taurus that we embody that which has come before.

24˚ is a 6 in numerology, the number of intellectual creativity, imagination, union and love. The 6 connects above and below.

“The number 6 is the ‘Mother’ number and is essentially a working, building number. It symbolizes responsibility and service which needs to be achieved through love, nurturing and protection. There is an innate desire within the 6 individual to bring harmony, peace, justice and truth to all experiences in life. 6 thrives on beauty and needs to be comfortable in all areas of their lives — emotionally, spiritually and physically. ~”

Relating to Venus and Uranus, The Lovers Tarot Card and Friday, this number is deeply ‘feminine’, as is the sign Taurus, the most earthly of earth signs.

Within hours of the New Moon Uranus moves into Taurus for the first time in 84 years. Most of us have never experienced this. Uranus moved into Taurus on June 7, 1934 until October 9, 1934, retrograded into Aries as he will this time and then moved back into Taurus from March 28, 1935 until August 7, 1941.

When an outer planet changes signs there is always a big shift in energies. In the 30’s we saw the rise of Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Mussolini and the Dust Bowl. We also had the US Congress accept The New Deal. Of course, other factors were also in play and no two transits are exactly the same. But Uranus ingresses are powerful.

When Uranus moved into Aries on March 11 2011 there was the ‘9.0 magnitude earthquake strikes 130 km (80 miles) east of Sendai, Japan, triggering a tsunami killing thousands of people and causing the second worst nuclear accident in history’ (

This is the power of the Lord of lightening bolts, revelation and revolution.

Uranus rules Aquarius and Aries ruler, Mars moves into Aquarius as Uranus leaves Aries. Mars and Uranus will be squaring each other on the New Moon at the last degrees of Capricorn and Aries before continuing the square aspect into their new signs.

29˚ to 29˚ Aries. the gateways to new energy.

There’s something shocking about this. Major surprises, revelations, lightbulb moments.

Rapid changes, new innovations.

The energy of creation and innovation is the signature of this New Moon with the two planetary sign changes.

Taurus is, as mentioned about values and Uranus/Aquarius is humanitarianism. Maybe I am overly optimistic, but I see innovation in the rules we live by created through deep value shifts.

Mercury and Uranus connect two days before the New Moon at that last degree of Aries. The mind and the higher mind.

I expect new inventions or discoveries to be revealed

I love that the Lovers card rules the New Moon itself.

It’s a card of balance and coming together. I give you the quote for the card from The Tarot Handbook by Angeles Arrien`

“The value of the personal relationship to all things is that it creates intimacy and intimacy creates understanding and understanding creates love.~ Anais Nin”

Look at the card. We have the coming together of the male and female and black and white.

The Orphic Egg of new beginnings.

“In Greek myth, particularly Orphic thought, Phanes (mythology) is the golden winged primordial being who was hatched from the shining cosmic egg that was the source of the universe. Called Protogonos (First-Born) and Eros (Love) — being the seed of gods and men — Phanes means “Manifestor” or “Revealer,” and is related to the Greek words “light” and “to shine forth” as well as the Latin “Lucifer”.~ Wikipedia”

Will this New Moon and the energetic shifts of Mars and Uranus bring light and illumination and begin to bring humanity together like the card?

The possibilities are there. How we create those possibilities is really up to us.

Much Love

Louise ❤
